Privacy Policy
How PMT Health Care Institution collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PMT Health Care Institution ("we", "us") handles personal information in the student portal (the "Portal"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your information lawfully and fairly.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you and the institution provide, and information generated as you use the Portal, including:
- Identity and contact details — name, student number, email, phone, address and, where relevant, guardian details.
- Academic information — programme, modules, enrolment, marks, results and clearance status.
- Financial information — fee accounts, balances and payment history.
- Account and security data — sign-in records, two-factor settings and trusted devices.
- Usage data — actions recorded in the audit log and technical session data.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to administer your studies, manage fees and payments, issue official documents, communicate with you, secure your account, and meet the institution's legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only within the institution with staff who need it for their role, and with third parties where required by law or necessary to deliver a service you have requested. Document verification confirms only that a document is genuine; it does not expose your wider records.
4. Security
We protect your information with measures including hashed passwords, optional two-factor authentication, encrypted connections, access controls scoped to each role, and an audit trail of sensitive actions. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
5. Retention
We keep academic and financial records for as long as the institution is required to, for legitimate administrative and legal purposes. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected.
6. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate. Some corrections to official records follow the institution's academic and finance procedures.
7. Cookies and sessions
The Portal uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against fraud. It is essential to the service and is not used for advertising.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy from time to time; the current version always applies. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@pmt.edu.
